Whether or not you live near a BART station or use BART, BART elections effect our community significantly. The next BART Board will determine how safe, clean, reliable, and financially responsible the system is, how much and what kind of housing happens at BART stations, and how taxpayer dollars are spent on the system. The BART contract with workers expires next year, raising questions about whether a new contract can be adopted that is fair to riders and whether we might face or avoid a BART strike in the Bay Area.
