There is a special election taking place on April 5th due to the resignation of Democrat Assemblyman Perea and Fresno City Councilman Clint Olivier has a chance of taking this seat for the Republican Party. The California Republican Party is asking volunteers from around the State to head to Fresno and win this election in the first round.
