The Lincoln Club of Northern California has elected Heidi Leupp as its chairwoman for the 2025-2027 term. Leupp served previously as chair of the club’s Federal PAC which has supported Republican Congressional candidates in California’s battleground districts. Republican victories in those seats have been key to establishing and maintaining Republican majorities in the House of Representatives in the past two election cycles.
Leupp serves as a Trustee for the Institute for World Politics which trains emerging leaders in the practice of statecraft and has placed its graduates in significant policy level positions throughout the federal government. Leupp also serves as a Trustee for Santa Clara University and as member of the Order of Malta which provides medical services and disaster relief in 120 countries around the world.
Founded in 1982, the Lincoln Club of Northern California has supported Republican and like-minded independent candidates for local, state and federal office for more than 40 years. In the most recent cycle, the club backed Assemblyman Josh Hoover and Senator Suzette Valladares in races that helped Republicans retain control of critical seats in the California Legislature. The club’s former executive director, Joe Patterson, now represents California’s 5th Assembly District in Sacramento.
For the past several cycles, the Club has supported Republican candidates in key U.S. Senate races that have helped secure a Republican Senate majority. Candidates supported in recent cycles include Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson and Senator Tim Sheehy in Montana.
Measured by the number the candidates supported, the club has been most active races for local office. The club has supported candidates for mayor, supervisor, city council, school board and special purpose district trustee in counties from Marin to Monterey and Solano to Santa Cruz.
The club also conducts events for members and guests that feature high profile speakers such as former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Senator Ted Cruz, Governor Nikki Haley, Wall Street Journal columnist Karl Rove, and former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster. The club’s annual dinner with former Reagan speechwriter and Hoover Fellow Peter Robinson is scheduled for November 5, 2025 in San Mateo.
Lincoln Club members include accomplished business and professional leaders from throughout the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas as well as other parts of Northern California. The club works closely with Lincoln Clubs in Sacramento, San Diego, Inland Empire and Orange County to coordinate its biannual trip to Washington D.C. and other destinations such as the Reagan Ranch in Santa Barbara and the Reagan Library in Simi Valley.
