The Conservative Forum of Silicon Valley presents Santa Clara County Supervisor Mike Wasserman and San Jose City Councilmember Pete Constant. They will discuss the financial condition and other issues of the county and city.
Supervisor Mike Wasserman was elected to the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors in November 2010 after serving eight years on the Los Gatos Town Council as Mayor and Councilmember. He represents the south county supervisorial district.
Councilmember Pete Constant represents San Jose Council District 1, West San José. He recently made national headlines when he refused to hire a $70,000-a-year administrative assistant to answer his phone and handle other routine office chores. Citing the city’s current budget shortfall, Councilman Constant said he would prefer to answer his own phone and use some of the money saved to provide direct services to the residents of District 1.
Doors open at 6:15 PM. Program starts at 7:00 PM.
Cost: Members free; Non-Members $10; first time guests $5.
