Former Congressman Bob Inglis represented South Carolina until he was defeated by a tea-party challenger in the 2010 primary. His greatest heresy was saying climate change is real and we should do something about it. He now heads the Energy and Enterprise Initiative.
Stanford Republicans will host Mr. Inglis for a conversation about climate and energy. Mr. Inglis believes that conservatives have a free-enterprise solution which involves ending energy subsidies and attaching all external costs to fuels through a revenue-neutral tax swap. There will be interactive discussion.
This event is open to the public. RSVP to Mary Ann Toman-Miller, President, Stanford College Republicans, at tomanmil@stanford.edu
