CAGOP State Convention Comes to the Bay Area

RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump and Gov. Kristi Noem to Speak

Newly elected Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee Lara Trump will speak on Saturday, May 18 at the CAGOP convention at the Burlingame Hyatt Regency.  South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, a potential Vice Presidential candidate, will speak at lunch the same day.

This year’s gathering, the only California State GOP convention scheduled in 2024, provides a unique opportunity to unite the California Republican Party to prepare for victory heading into the November elections.  The complete schedule, including the banquets, receptions, training programs and seminars will be available on the CAGOP Convention website between now and the convention which begins Friday, May 17.

Bay Area Republicans are welcome to stop by Friday evening at 9 p.m. for the Bay Area Welcome reception at the poolside pavilion hosted by Bay Area Regional Vice Chair Jason Clark along with Republican organizations from around the Bay Area.

The California Congress or Republicans, California Young Republicans and Log Cabin Republicans are hosting a “Studio 24 Party” Saturday night.

For those interested in learning more about the business of the convention, the California Congress of Republicans will meet on Saturday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. where attendees will hear about the agendas for the major committees and the likely recommendations that will be considered at the general session on Sunday, May 19.  On Sunday, delegates will vote to elect the new Republican National Committeeman and Republican National Committeewoman.

All Bay Area Republicans are invited to attend the convention as delegates, associate delegates or guests.  Registration and ticket purchases are available on the CAGOP website.  Registered Republicans in California can be appointed Associate Delegates by any CAGOP delegate.  Associate Delegate appointment forms along with dues payment info are available on the forms section of the CAGOP website.  The deadline for appointment as Associate Delegate is May 7.

Delegates who are unable to attend the convention may assign their vote to another delegate or associate delegate using the proxy form available on the CAGOP website.  Each delegate and associate delegate may carry up to two proxies.
