Gloria is a nationally recognized leader on education reform and school choice. During her time in the California State Senate, she represented East Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley and became the first woman to serve as Senate Majority Leader. As Chair of the Senate Education Committee, she was a leading voice in shaping California education policy.
