The Lafayette Flag Brigade presents the 10th Annual 9/11 Remembrance and Candlelight Vigil featuring the Ground Zero 15 Ton Steel Beam and 9/11 Memorial Theater.
This is the largest overpass flag display in the state. The program also features live music performances, keynote speakers, flag folding ceremony, and the Blue Star Moms. This is a family oriented, non-political event.
The World Trade Center Steel arrives at 3:00 PM. The Candlelight Vigil begins at 7:30 PM. Directions and more info at the link above. Volunteers are needed to set up the flags and tents, staff the booth, and take down. If you can help with any of these tasks, please contact Patty O’Day at 925-209-5250 or pattyoday@earthlink.net.
