    Rogan recently teamed up with Harmeet Dhillon and filed a lawsuit against Twitter and the California Secretary of State for collaborating to ban him from the platform where he had nearly 500,000 followers.

    Five Republicans seeking to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom will participate in a 90-minute televised debate Aug. 4 at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.

    Former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, radio talk-show host Larry Elder, businessman John Cox, Assemblyman Kevin Kiley and former Rep. Doug Ose will participate in the debate, according to Joe Lopez, vice president, marketing and communications, for the Richard Nixon Foundation. Newsom was invited to participate but did not respond to the invitation. Learn More.

    California voters will get to see several gubernatorial recall candidates take the stage Wednesday in a televised debate hosted by Sacramento’s KCRA 3 and the San Francisco Chronicle.

    The debate, as reported by KCRA, will feature Republican candidates John Cox (a businessman who unsuccessfully ran against Gov. Gavin Newsom in the 2018 election), Kevin Faulconer (the former mayor of San Diego), and Kevin Kiley (a California state assemblyman). It will also be the first debate to feature Democrat and YouTube star Kevin Paffrath.

    Livestream: The debate will air live from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday on the following stations: KCRA 3 in Sacramento, KSBW in Monterey/Salinas, KERO-TV in Bakersfield, KFMB-TV in San Diego, KHTK-FM in Sacramento, KNTV-TV in the Bay Area, and KSBY-TV on the Central Coast.

    It also will be livestreamed on KCRA.comKSBW.com and SFChronicle.com.

    The King City Fire Department in collaboration with the King City Police Department will be conducting a memorial procession and flag ceremony on September 11, 2021, to honor the 20-year anniversary for those who lost their lives due to terror attacks across our country on September 11, 2001. The procession will begin at 12:00 pm at the King City High School, continue down Broadway Street to S. First Street and will then conclude fronting the Fire Department and Police Department in the 400 Block of Bassett Street. At the conclusion of the procession a flag ceremony will be conducted. Members of the community are invited to come out and observe the procession and flag ceremony.

    The Foothill-De Anza Community College District is changing the way it elects members of its Board of Trustees. The district will be divided into five trustee areas and a person from each area will be elected to the board. Community members are invited to provide information and ideas to assist in the drawing of trustee area boundary lines.

    The school choice initiative is coming soon. In a few short weeks, we will start collecting signatures for the Educational Freedom Act, also known as the California School Choice Initiative. To qualify for the November 2022 ballot will require a minimum of 1.0 million valid signatures. To be on the safe side, we will gather 1.5 million signatures just to make sure. We will only have 180 days to accomplish this.

    The kickoff “Signature Event” will be Super Sunday Weekend, which is October 31.

    The votes for the reconciliation bill and the Biden spending bill have yet to be scheduled. There is speculation that the votes could happen as late as Friday, or even Saturday, making it impossible to assure the congresswoman’s travel.
