    Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler did not reach 50% of the vote in their November elections, so according to Georgia law, they must have a run-off in early January. Early voting begins December 14th. The Georgia Battleground Fund was formed to support the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the two Senate races. You can donate at this link.

    The U.S. Congress will meet in joint session to count the electoral votes for the presidential election, as specified in the 12th Amendment to the Constitution. The President of the Senate, VP Mike Pence, will preside. The session will begin at 10 a.m. Pacific Time (1 p.m. in Washington).

    Join BENS for a public forum on the 20th anniversary of our Tail-to-Tooth Commission, which in 2001 convened defense and business leaders to devise over a dozen recommendations focused on reducing excessive Pentagon overhead and inefficient large-scale functions that took away from the resources available for U.S. warfighters.

    This virtual public forum will bring together BENS members and former Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries, and other Defense officials and experts to celebrate the legacy of the Tail-to-Tooth Commission. The forum will also take this opportunity to analyze and advance the next decade of transformations that will assist the DoD in adapting to geostrategic competition in an environment of burgeoning defense and budgetary challenges.
