Thursday, February 2, 2023Michael Boskin of Stanford’s Hoover Institution, former chair of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors, will share his insights into the U.S. economy, productivity, the evolution of work and impact of tech, and whether we will tip into a recession. UC Berkeley’s Maurice Obstfeld, former chief economist at the IMF, will assess the ongoing impact of the war in Ukraine, China’s COVID woes, and other trends shaping the global economy. Our moderator will be Ann E. Harrison, dean of the Haas School of Business.

Thursday, February 23, 2023In recognition of Black History Month, the California Republican Party will host a roundtable in Stockton, CA with political leaders, key stakeholders in the faith community and leaders in the Black community. The roundtable, moderated by CAGOP Chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson, will discuss navigating today’s political climate as a faith community, how people of faith can work with elected officials to create positive change, and how the church participates and encourages civic engagement amongst its Black congregations. The roundtable will also be available to watch on Zoom.
