The Blackhawk Republican Women will host an hors d’oeuvres and no-host cocktails reception with featured speaker Laer Pearce, California Commentator. His topic will be “Crazifornia: How California is destroying itself – and what can be done about it”. Experiencing this dysfunction up close prompted him to write Crazifornia: Tales from the Tarnished State, copies of which will be available for signing. Every time he feels he has a thorough grasp on all California has done to make things worse, another “Crazifornia moment” crops up, requiring the play book to be updated.
