The Commonwealth Club will host a presentation by Michael Waldman, President of the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law and author of The Second Amendment: A Biography. Waldman will be discussing the controversy surrounding the right to bear arms, from the resurgence of the gun debate in the 1970s to the 2008 Supreme Court ruling protecting the individual right to gun ownership.
